Paperback

Our London Adventures series began last year with Iain Sinclair’s House of Flies and Alice of London Fields by Xiaolu Guo. Now Three Impostors are pleased to announce the publication of The Yellow Nineties by Catherine Fisher.

In her story Catherine takes us back to 1890s London with its decadence, fog and gaslight, where Arthur Machen’s new book The Great God Pan has just been published to a chorus of caustic reviews. A man-about-town seeks out a copy…

The Yellow Nineties also includes Machen’s Introduction to the 1916 edition of The Great God Pan.

Catherine Fisher is a poet and prize-winning novelist. She comes from Newport in Arthur Machen’s beloved Gwent, and has long been fascinated by his work and the wider culture of the 1890s.
